कोण बरे "मालवीका" आली असेल या रुक्ष जंगलात लताप्रहार कराव्या ?
आपण उगीच मनाशी एक समज करुन घेतला असतो, आला बसंत आला, आता या रुतुत बहरतील, वॄक्ष, वेली,लता.
डवरुन जातील, बहरुन जातील, फुलुन जातील, प्रभावाने बसंताच्या. पण खरेच ही किमया या रुतुराजाचीच असते ?
अ हं. तस नसते की.
संकॄत कादंबऱ्यांमधे ऐन वसंतात, त्याच्या आगमनाची चाहुल लागताच पाळायच्या काही संकेतांचे सुरेख वर्णन केले आहे. हे संकेत तर पाळायलाच हवे त्या शिवाय बहार कसा काय शक्य आहे ?
आता हा सीता अशोक, फार खट्याळ, लब्बाडच म्हणायचा. असा तसा हा बधत नाही.
कुणा यौवनात नुकतेच पदार्पण केलेल्या सुंदर युवतीने, सारा साजश्रुंगार करुन, नटुनठटुन, त्याचे लाडकौतुक करावे, त्याला आंगरावे गोंजरावे आणि मग हळुन आपल्या सुकुमार, कोवळ्या, अळीताने रंगलेल्या, नुपुरांने किणकीणलेल्या पावलाने लत्ताप्रहर करावा, मगच तो, तरच तो मोहरतो, फुलुन येतो, खुलुन येतो.
देखो री रुत फुलन लागी.

Oh, what lovely lovely pictures!!! No wonder they say, pictures are worth more than a thousand words. Although I cannot understand Marathi very well, your pictures spoke to me in the universal language of beauty.

Those are the photos of Sita Ashok.
The same tree under which Sita was help captive by Ravana in Ashokabana. You will find one of the species at OP garden Goregaon.
I may not be able to explain properly what I have written in English.
Let me try. As per poetic thought as mentioned in Sanskrit kadambaries by Kalidasa, Bhas, Ban ,during spring the trees does not bloom automatically. There are certain rituals to be followed , then only the inner beauty of the tree comes out and then the full blossom.
Sita Ashok blooms only when the beautiful young girl praise hin, worship him and kicks or rather touches the tree with her gentle, fully decorated foot.
