Looking fwd to listening to Rahul Deshpande, live. Thanks for your blog entry, which prompted me to act and this will be my first ever attendance to classical maifal ever!
अर्चेना, आभार. माझ्या नशीबी हा कार्यक्रम आहे की नाही देव जाणे. आतुरतेने ज्याची वाट पहावी व वेळ आल्यावर ते हाती लागु नये ? संधी मिळाल्यास १९ तारखेस पं.मुकुल शिवप्रुत्रांचे गाणे जरुर ऐकणे. त्याच्या गाण्याची एक झलक माझ्या बॉग वर ऐकायला मिळेल.
माझी ही अवस्था वेगळी नाही मला गाणे वळत ही नाही आणि कळत ही नाही. पण मी कलेचा आस्वाद जरुर घेतो.
मला जरुर या कार्यक्रमा बद्द्ल आपला अभिप्राय कळीवणे.
Could not attend Sat- Mukul Shivaputra's concert, as I could take only one day "off" from my mommy-duty :)
PuN, kaal Rahulche gaaNe mastach ! It was amazing truly... Program madhye, Tendulkar, Nana (Patekar) aaNi ajoon ek-don chote samvaad he zaale.. bhashaN na mhaNta samvaad mhaNte aahe kaaraN it was quite informal. People talked what they felt, no prepared speech et. all. Whole experience was very satisfying.
Shanmukhanand-che sanchalak (or someone sorry, not sure exactly who he was, as it was not planned event in the program), came on stage spontaneously at the end of the program (when Nana had said bye bye to all) and took the mike in hand and he said "We have heard so many artists performing in the this renovated auditorium since last 8 yrs. but this man (Rahul) is truly amazing and best of all. And I am saying this from the bottom of my heart. I and all the technical staff here agree with me". It was a hugh compliment I feel from what Nana said afterwards "this guy is very khadoos :-) and difficult to please. And getting so much praise from him is really a big achievement for Rahul"
Tar, asa ha sohla chaan rangala. Attendance was OK, more than 50% for sure but not full till the brim either :( They are planning 3 days concerts each year in the memory of Vasantrao from next year onwards. As Nana said "Pudhchyaa varsheeche amantraN aattach dewoon thevto aahe. Jaroor yaa".
I will stop now. KaraN otherwise lihoo tevadhe thodecH aahe.. ek blog chee poorNa entry tayaar hoyeel nakkeech :)
BTW, which paper had reviews of Saturday's program? I did not get enough time to read MaTa or Loksatta on Sunday. Is it one of these papers?
I am so glad, you enjoyed the program, It was my bad luck, I missed both days conserts. We had gone to Pune, which was really not essentional and which I could have easily avoided.
I think the other person must me Dr.Ashok Ranade, who is The Authority in India on Voice Culture,( I do not know the technical name ) and Hindustani Classical Sangeet.
