Could you please tell us something about Ustad Raja Miyan's musical lineage?

A quick search shows that Ghulam Hussain Khan, son of Anwar Hussain Khan, is known as 'Raja Miyan'. His father died early. Raja Miyan studied under his uncle Khadim Hussain Khan, a truly gifted singer and teacher. Latafat Hussain Khan, the third brother, was probably the more proficient singer; but Khadim Hussain Khan's singing has a masculine beauty of its own. Kishori Amonkar learned for a brief period under Anwar Hussain Khan.

Agra Gharana was blessed with a line of great teachers: Naththan Khan, his sons Abdullah Khan and Vilayat Hussain Khan, Jagannathbuwa Purohit and Jitendra Abhisheki (both of whom had spread their net wider to encompass other gharanas as well), and Khadim Hussain Khan. Alas, the gharana has fallen on hard times now. Khadim Hussain's austere style may not have suited the younger generation which is currently in the vanguard. More is the pity! While a high percentage of masters in the first of the 20th C were also great teachers, the same cannot be said of several big names (Mallikarjun Mansur, Amir Khan, Bhimsen Joshi) who held sway after 1950. As a singer, Khadim Hussain might occupy a lower rung; but he was a dedicated teacher. His death dealt a huge blow to Hindustani Music in general and the Agra Gharana in particular. First the supply of great teachers dried up. It was inevitably followed by loss of standard among performers.

Please upload samplers of Raja Miyan's singing, if possible.
